I’ve always kept
a pen moving.
kalatrove is my studio. I’m Swati — an engineer by training and a marketer by trade, and through every version of my working life I never stopped drawing. The mandala is where all of it finally settled.
The art started small — hand-painted bookmarks, a few mandala commissions between spreadsheets and campaigns. It was the thing I came back to when I wanted to make something whole with my hands, start to finish, with no committee in the middle.
Over the years the doodles narrowed into a language. Not mandalas in general — a thousand people make those — but a specific look I could return to and still surprise myself inside: gold and white on deep jewel grounds, one centred motif, fine detail that rewards standing close.
kalatrove is that practice, made deliberate. Every piece is drawn to order for the person and the wall it’s going to. No prints of prints, no mass production — one artist, one piece at a time.
What ties every piece together
The form
A single centred mandala, drawn outward ring by ring.
The palette
Gold and white on deep jewel-toned grounds — ruby, plum, navy, magenta.
The detail
Fine dot-and-line work, close up and unhurried.
Everything else — the geometry, the centre, the exact colour — changes with the commission. Constant enough to recognise, free enough that no two are alike.
From your wall to your wall
A slow, considered process — the way handmade work is meant to happen.
We talk
You tell me the wall, the light, and the colours you already live with. I ask a few questions back.
I design
I sketch a centre and a geometry made for your space — never a repeat of someone else’s piece.
I make it
The mandala is drawn by hand over one to three weeks, ring by ring, in your palette.
It ships
Finished, protected, and sent to your door — ready to hang. Pan-India.
Let’s make something for your wall.
Tell me the space and the colours you live with — I’ll design a mandala that belongs there.
